SUSAN L. MILLER

Susan Lavina, daughter of Absolom and Matilda Trumbo Miller, was born near Utica, Iowa, March 27, 1864, and departed from this life in a hospital at Chicago, Ill., October 9, 1946, at the age of 82 years, 6 months and 13 days.

Early in life she united with the Methodist church at Utica and always held her Christian faith.

Having chosen nurses training as her life work she went to Chicago and for 35 years worked at that profession.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers, and she leaves to mourn her departure, one brother, William Miller of Hillsboro, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Catcott funeral home in Birmingham Friday afternoon conducted by Rev. H.C. Irvine. Burial in Miller chapel cemetery.
