A.J. PLOWMAN

A.J. Plowman, 69, bulk plant and service station operator at Douds for the last 20 years, died of a heart attack at his home at 2 a.m. Friday. He had been ill but was thought recovering.

Mr. Plowman was born near Douds and spent his entire life in the community. He farmed for a number of years before entering the oil business.

Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Sherman Unkrich of Fairfield, a son, Kermit Plowman of Douds, two grandchildren; two brothers, D.S. Plowman of Douds and Gilmore Plowman of Fairfield; a sister, Mrs. Nora McKinstry of Douds, and two foster daughters, Ederyl and Audrey Ferrell at home.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Pedrick funeral home in Douds.

J.A. Plowman

J.A. Plowman, 69, died Jan. 17. For past twenty years he had operated a service station and bulk plant at Douds. He was born in Van Buren county and had spent his entire life here. Funeral services were held on Jan. 19 at the Pedrick funeral home in Douds.

Surviving are the widow; one son Kermit Plowman of Douds; a daughter, Mrs. Sherman Unkrich of Fairfield, and two grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, one sister, and two foster daughters, Elderly and Audrey Farrell at home.
