Mrs. Leona Powell

Mrs. Leona Powell, 71, was found dead Saturday at the home of her son, Bennie, three miles north of Cantril. Coroner Harold Catcott of Birmingham said a hemorrhage was the cause of her death. Her son had gone to Ottumwa to bring his wife from a hospital.

Her husband died four years ago. Surviving besides her son is a daughter. Mrs. Bates Cochran of Pomona, Calif.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 o'clock Thursday at the Cantril Christian church, Rev. Hadley officiating.
