Carlyn Rae Cline of Lockridge passed peacefully at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City on October 16, 2016, with her family by her side.

Burial of cremains will be at a later date.

Carlyn Cline was born in Jefferson County on July 25, 1951, and married her high school sweetheart, Marvin, on the same day 19 years later in 1970. She was baptized at the Suburban Heights Church and liked to say, "I believe in God, but we don't always see eye to eye.”

Her favorite things included being with her grandchildren and attending their events, attending hockey games, traveling, raising calves, going to the Keosauqua sale barn, and being able to pet the dolphins at SeaWorld while on a trip to Texas with her family. Some of her hobbies included decorating for holidays with her favorites being Halloween and Christmas. One thing over the years that Carlyn made sure to make time for was volunteering with the ARC and Special Olympics. She also enjoyed farming and spending time" with her-numerous dogs, most recently, Sassy Cline. Her work history included: Fairfield Glove for 15 years, Plexco for a year, and Hy-Vee for three years before retiring to become a full-time farmer's wife.

She is survived by her husband Marvin Cline; three children, Allen (Janet) Cline, Tammirae (Scott) Neuendorf, and Laura Guezimane-Cline; motherin-law, Laura Cline; three sisters, Marlyn Deao, Dixie Zaragoza, and Patty Perian; one brother, Grant Perian; six brothers and sisters-inlaw; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Other survivors include close family friends, Kenny and Karen Whitman.

She was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Perian (Fairfield); father Kenneth Keck (Fairfield); father-in-law, Ivan Cline (Lockridge); two brothers-in-law, Dale and Darrell Cline (Lockridge); and grandson, Neiko Allen Morris.
