William W. Printy Jr., 59, of Bentonsport, died October 10, 2016, at home. He was born January 13, 1957, in Keokuk to William W. Sr. and JoAnn L. Sackman Printy.

William grew up in California and Illinois and graduated from Hamilton High School in Illinois. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, arrowhead hunting, auto mechanics, gardening and spending time with family. He worked at Hawkeye Steel in Houghton as a tool and die maker.

William is survived by his father, William Printy (Betty) of Bentonsport, his mother JoAnn Printy of Keokuk, three daughters, Ivy Plenge (Sam) of Keokuk, Beth Printy (Tyler Walker) of Donnellson, and Erin Land (Ryan) of Keokuk, a niece, Sayer Printy, a nephew, Hayes Printy, a stepbrother, three stepsisters and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Mitch Printy.

In accordance with his wishes his body has been cremated. A graveside service and burial of cremains was held October 15, 2016, at Kahoka Cemetery, Kahoka, MO, with Larry Shipley officiating. Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, handled the cremation.
