EUGENE D. GOODALL.

Eugene D. Goodall, son of Mr. and Mrs. T.E. Goodall, was born Sept. 29, 1877, and was called from this world, at the home of his parents, one mile north of Birmingham, April 24, 1899, after a sickness of seven weeks, aged 21 years, 6 months and 25 days. His sickness commenced while at Benton, Ringgold Co., Iowa, where he was engaged in telegraphy, and he came home the 13th of Feb. to die, meeting his disease with patience and relatives and friends with a smile, to the end. He was a good boy and had the love of his associated and acquaintances. The funeral was from the residence, Apr. 26, at 2 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Wilkins and Monteith in the presence of many friends. As a token of love for their departed associate, the members of the Birmingham band attended in a body and contributed a beautiful bank of flowers to adorn the casket. The body was buried in the Birmingham cemetery. A family has been bereft of a dutiful, loving son and brother, and the community of a model young man.
