Mrs. Hamilton Bishop, 79, died at her home in Keosauqua Sunday morning, January 1, 1939 after only a few days illness. Mrs. Bishop suffered a fall on Christmas day, which at first was disregarded but she late became very ill and passed away Sunday morning.

She is survived by her husband Hamilton Bishop, her son William and two daughters, Mrs. Lee Arnold of Keosauqua and Mrs. G.C. Warrington of Estherville, nine grandchildren and six great great grandchildren, one brother and one sister, Joseph M. Borden(?) of Green City, Mo., and Mrs. Emily Roberts of Trenton, Mo., besides other relatives.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Keosauqua Tuesday afternoon in Keosauqua Tuesday afternoon in charge of the Rev. Lloyd Tennant of Wapello a former pastor, assisted by Rev. C.H. Orf. Mrs. James A. Craig and Mrs. Joe Price accompanied by Mrs. L.B. Liddy sang three selections. Pall bears were former neighbors Arthur Poling, Arthur Hogue, Otto Burchett, Aiva Hoskin, Walter Thomas and Lester Smith.

Burial was in the Bethel cemetery.
