DIED IN CHICAGO BURIED HERE WED'Y.

Mrs. Edward Slutts died in Chicago Monday of this week and the remains were buried here Wednesday. The husband and two children arrived with the body Wednesday noon, which was taken to the home of J.H. Jamison, a brother-in-law, where the funeral was held Wednesday at 2 o'clock, being conducted by Rec. C.A. Field.

Ada Evelyn Smith was aged 32 years and nine months. She was the daughter of Henry Smith, formerly a resident near Fairfield. She was united in marriage to Edward Slutts at Mt. Zion Feb 4, 1902. Besides her husband she leaves two sons, Neal aged 9 and Noel aged 4 years. The family had been living in Chicago two years, where Ed. is employed by C.N. Eastman as a driver doe Eastman's coal yards, he having worked for Eastman here in the same capacity. Mrs. Slutts' health was very poor before leaving here. She died of tuberculosis, but was confined to her bed only five days. She was a member of the M.E. church.

The interment was in the Purdom cemetery. The pall bearers were John Wright, Perry Trebil, Jas. Fickey, Rolla Lawson, Seward Fellows and J. Henry Strickling. C.W. Dobds was the funeral director.
