OBITUARY RECORD.
Death of Mrs. John McKey and of Mrs. Rose Anna Sears, Aged About 90 years.

Mrs. Rose Anna Sears died on the morning of Tuesday, May 2, at her home in Selma. Her late husband, John Sears, deceased in 1888, was a soldier in the Blackhawk war of 1832, and a pension of $12 per month awarded to him for said service has been ever since his death been paid to Mrs. Sears, on the grounds of dependency. John and Rose Anna Sears moved to Van Buren county from Indiana more than 60 years ago, and raised a family of six children. She was a remarkable woman, possessed of a peculiar mental quality, known as "second sight." She was always industrious, truthful, liberal, noble hearted, full of deeds of charity. Her age was about 90.
