DEATH OF MRS. PALMER THURSDAY MORNING.

Mrs. Mary E. Palmer, a sister of Mr. M.I. Burkett of this place, died at the home of she latter Thursday morning. Mrs. Palmer was a resident of Springville, near Cedar Rapids, Ia. She came here on a visit about four months ago, and had been ill of stomach trouble and dropsy the past 10 weeks.

Mrs. Palmer is survived by three sons, two of whom arrived here and were at their mother's bedside when she passed away. Her husband died 12 years ago. She was 71 years old. A short funeral service was held at the Burkett home at 3 p.m. Thursday, conducted by Rev. J.C. Behrens. The sons departed with the body Thursday evening for Springville for burial.
