FUNERAL OF WILBUR STEVENS

Bentonsport, March 30. - A beautiful tribute was shown Wilbur Stevens in the impressive funeral service conducted Sunday p.m., from the M.E. church at Bentonsport by the pastor of the M.E. church at Farmington, assisted by Rev. C.S. McElhinney. The beautiful life and noble character of the deceased, the universal love and esteem of every one of his acquaintances, the place he held in the affections of the citizens of this his home town, furnished the theme for a most excellent memoir.

Relatives in attendance at the funeral were his brothers J.E. of Keokuk, Ia., Eugene of Woodstock, Ill.; Mrs. Ellen Stevens and Jesse of Curtis, Neb., and Mr. John Stevens of Kirksville, Mo. To his devoted sister, Miss Cora, whose love and constant care had comforted him to the close of life, his death is unexpressibly sad. To her and to all the relatives are heard expressions of sympathy. Interment in the family plot in the Bentonsport cemetery.
