Mark A. Belknap, 52, of Stockport, died September 7, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids.

He was born October 26, 1963, in Ft. Madison, lived in Illinois and later in Burlington where he graduated from high school. He had lived many years in Van Buren County, the past several years with Angel Spurgeon in Stockport. Mark was a self-employed building contractor until an injury forced him to retire. In recent years he enjoyed restoring old cars, painting tractors for the Old Threshers Association in Mt. Pleasant, playing with his grandchildren and gardening.

Surviving are his significant other, Angel, four sons, Mark Belknap, Jr. (Stacy) and Tony Belknap (Nicole) of Burlington, Tyler Belknap of Ft. Madison, and Anthony Curtis of Stockport, three daughters, Katreena Belknap and Marcia Brewer (Brandon) of Burlington, and Nicole Belknap of Keosauqua. Also surviving are two stepsons, Chris Spurgeon of Cameron, MO, and Cory Spurgeon and a stepdaughter, Bobbie Spurgeon of Stockport, 25 grandchildren, two brothers, Mike Belknap of Burlington and Terry Belknap in the Quad-Cities, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Frances Victory and a brother, Lloyd Caviness.

Funeral Services were held September 12, 2016, at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, with Pastor Dan Baker officiating. Cremation followed the service.
