LEGGET, Lt. George Phelps: Died 1919

Lieutenant George Phelps Legget, son of Judge and C.D. Legget of Fairfield, was killed Wednesday of last week at Ream Field, near San Diego, Cal., when he fell 500 feet in a scout plane after a collision with another aeroplane. The two machines were engaged in combat flying practice. The remains were brought to the home in Fairfield, and the funeral service was held in the Presbyterian church of that city on Tuesday, in charge of Rev. Mosser and Rev. R.A. Montgomery, President of Parsons College.
