SAMUEL JUDSON FARMER.

Samuel Judson Farmer, son of Samuel and Margaret Farmer, was born on October 23rd, 1863, and died July 29th, 1923, being at the time of his death, 59 years, 9 months and 6 days.

He had lived his entire life in the same community, having been born and spent all his years and died on the same farm.

Mr. Farmer was of a quiet nature and disposition, and spent all of his of his time at home, and it is here that he will be so sadly missed. He was kind to all and no neighbor was ever heard to speak an unkind word of him.

He leaves besides his two sisters, Sarah and Anna, and with whom he made his home, one brother, Will, of Lake Andes, S.D.

His parents, one sister and three brothers - Mrs. Malissa Watson, John, James David and Charlie - preceeded him in death.

Mr. Farmer never was of a strong constitution, and his last illness was caused by leakage of the heart, anemia and other complications, but he was kind and patient and ever thotful of those who waited upon him. Altho he suffered much, he never complained but said he was ready to go.

Everything that kind hands could do was done; but his work on earth was done and he passed quietly away.

The funeral services were held at his late home on Tuesday morning, July 31st, 1923, conducted by Rev. G.W. Barber, of the Methodist Episcopal church of this city and interment was in Spencer cemetery.
