Margaret A. Kellar.

Margaret A. Keller was born in Noble Co. Ohio, Sept. 51(err), 1824, and departed this life at Knowlton, Iowa, Dec. 25, 1902. She was united in marriage with Wm. Casner, Aug. 24, 1843. To them were given ten children, six sons and four daughters remain to mourn her loss. Her companion preceeded her to his great reward Sept. 18, 1896.

She was a consistent member of the M.E. Church for almost seventy years, never tiring of the work of her Master, and died triumphing in the faith she had so long embraced.

During her last sickness of some three weeks, she manifested that only comes through trust in God.

She expressed repeatedly her readiness and desire to exchange the sufferings of the present life for the glories of life to come, which in the closing hours seem to be in full view. Just before her death she exhorted her loved ones to faithfulness, and quietly departed out of pain into the similes of peace. The remains were brought to Keosauqua, and the funeral services occured from the M.E. church at 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Hardy A. Ingham, after which interment was made in the Purdem(sp) cemetery.
