MORTUARY RECORD.

Franklin A. Landess was born in Highland county, Ohio, Jan. 18, 1851, died at Ottumwa, July 11, 1903; being 52 years, 5 months and 23 days old. He came with his parents to Iowa in June, 1868, and remained a resident of Van Buren county until 1892, when he moved to Ottumwa. His mother and three sisters have preceeded him to the other world. He has always lived a strictly honest, trustworthy life. He was always a devoted child to his parents in his young life. He leaves a father, four sisters and two brothers to mourn the loss of their beloved brother.
