SUDDEN DEATH AT MILTON.
An Old Citizen Stricken Without Warning.

Milton Herald: That the span between life and death is quickly torn assunder was again shown in our town Wednesday morning of this week when John Hootman dropped dead in front of the Milton Lumber Co. office. Mr. Hootman was standing on the steps talking to C. Miller when he fell over dead. Drs. Pennington and Stephenson were called and pronounced the cause of his death heart failure.

He was taken to his home in the east part of town and the body prepared for burial. As yet we have not learned when the funeral will be held.

Mr. Hootman had been a resident of this place for many years and his sudden death is a great shock to the community. He leaves a wife, two sons and a daughter.
