OBITUARY.

Luan Boston, whose death occurred on March 28, 1910, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G.F. Anderson, near Stockport, Iowa, was born in Wayne Co., Kentucky, Aug. 9, 1834, and died Mar. 28, 1910, aged 75 yrs. 7 months and 19 days.

Early life she united with the Baptist church, and later transferred her membership to the M.E. church at Stockport, Iowa.

On Mar. 24, 1863, she was united in marriage with Russell Bales in Laurel Co., Ky. About 14 years later they moved to Van Buren Co., Iowa. Ten children were born to this union, four dying when quite young; Mrs. Kate Taylor dying at Clear Lake, Idaho in the year 1905.

She leaves to mourn her loss two sons and three daughters: Isaac of Salem, Oregon, Henry of Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Fannie Lee of Cantril, Iowa, Mrs. Sadie Anderson of Stockport, Iowa, and Mrs. Emma Lester of Cashmer, Washington. Also about twenty grandchildren. She lived a consistent life until death called her home. Interment was made in Spencer cemetery conducted by the pastor, Rev. O.E. Hatfield.
