Lucy A. Humphrey, was born in Logan county, Ohio, December 1, 1834. She came to Van Buren county, Iowa, when a child and has made her home in this county most of her life. When she was 21 years of age she was united in marriage to David Bink of Des Moines township near Lebanon. To their union were born two daughters. Her husband died August 18, 1898.

When Sister Bink was a young women she united with the Baptist church of which she remained a member until her death. She was visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. Wolf at Libertyville when she took sick and after a brief illness passed away on February 11, 1904, at the age of 69 years, 2 months and 19 days.

She is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Mary Thompson of Eldon and Mrs. Belle Kittle of Scotland county, Mo., also by three brothers and one sister, eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services conducted by Rev. George L. Minear were held at the Methodist church at Cantril and her body was laid to rest by the side of that of her husband in the Cantril cemetery.
