Mrs. Dora Hancox

Mrs. Dora Fowler Hancox, 86, died Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 12 noon at the home of Will Feyhl a mile east of Milton, where she had been cared for since June.

She was born May 14, 1871, near Blandinsville, Ill., the daughter of James and Mary Jane Fowler. She spent her early life as a rural school teacher. She was a member of the Milton Christian church.

On Sept. 10, 1910, she was married to Andrew Hancox at Macomb, Ill. They moved then to a farm four miles north of Milton where they lived until his death Feb. 17, 1950.

Surviving are a stepdaughter, Mrs. Vera Paul of California and a stepson, Rex Hancox of Kansas City.

The body was taken Friday morning to Blandinsville, Ill., for the funeral and burial.
