Mrs. J.J. Downard.

FAIRFIELD. - Mrs. J.J. Downard, 86, of 5050 South Fourth street, died Sunday at 7:50 a.m. in the Jefferson County hospital, where she was taken Friday evening following a stroke.

She was the former Ingaba Morris, daughter of George H. and Matilda Ebert Morris, and was born November 12, 1870 in the Stockport community. She was married there to Joseph P. Downard, November 11, 1897. They lived in Stockport until his retirement about 1923, when they moved to Fairfield. Mr. Downard was a farmer and later a mail carrier in Stockport. He died here in 1951. Mrs. Downard was a longtime member of the Methodist church in Stockport.

Surviving are one son, B.Q. Downard of Des Moines and two daughters, Miss Joan Downard of Los Angeles and Mrs. Jay Snyder, 302 South Third street. There are five grandchildren, also one sister Mrs. Carrie Taylor of Stockport.

The body is at the Behner funeral home here. Services will be in the Stockport Methodist church Wednesday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Carl Rayburn pastor, will officiate. Burial will in Spencer cemetery.
