Dennis Dorothy, age 58 of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at the Jefferson County Health Center. The funeral service was July 18, 2016, at the Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Nelson officiating.

Burial was at Spencer Cemetery near Stockport, IA.

Dennis was born November 13, 1957, to Donnie and Margaret (Morris) Dorothy in Marshalltown, IA. Dennis was an over the road truck driver. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, helping people, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Dennis is survived by his father Donnie Dorothy; children, Michael (Tiffiany) Dorothy of Oskaloosa, Matthew (Carla) Dorothy of Ankeny, Mark and Mitchell Dorothy of Fairfield, IA; significant other, Connie Magnuson; stepmother Shirley Dorothy; five grandchildren, Jacob, Ryan, Aja, Emry, Jazzelle; brother, Dirk, and two sisters: Peggy (Art) McDonald and Brigit Kuchenbecker. He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.
