ORIN A. ANSON SERVICES HELD WEDNESDAY

Orin A. Anson, 83, was born March 17, 1867 on a farm near Keosauqua and died at his home southeast of Keosauqua, Jan. 1, 1951.

He suffered a stroke in October, 1950, and had been confined to his bed since that time. He was the son of William and Charlotte Martin Anson. On Jan. 24, 1893, he was united in marriage to Katie Frances Simmons. To this union two sons (were) born, Alva of Keosauqua and Charlie of Pella.

Immediately following their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Anson established their home on a farm one mile form his birthplace in the new house which had been built for them. They have lived there since that time.

Survivors include his widow Katie, two sons, Alva and Charlie, one sister, Mrs. Belle Cackley of Kansas City, three brothers, Iowa, of San Bernadino, Calif., Curt of Bakersfield, Calif., Fred of Monrovia, Calif., and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Burnett-Catcott funeral home. Rev. Burton C. Bastuscheck officiated.

Burial was in the Center Chapel cemetery.
