In Cantril, Iowa, on Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 6, 1873, CLARENCE ALDEN, infant son of W.M. and MOLLIE A. Robertson, aged 2 years 1 month and 2 days.

Our darling child has gone to rest,
Affection's fondest tie is riven;
God's ways are right. He thought it best,
And took our little one to heaven.
