DON EUGENE MCGOWAN

Don Eugene McGowan was born near Azen, Mo., Sept. 27, 1916, and passed away at Memphis, Mo., June 7, 1962 at the age of 45 years, 8 months and 11 days. He was the son of Joseph Earl and Myrtle Madden McGowan.

On Dec. 24, 1937, she was united in marriage to Lavon McGee, who survives.

He was a member of the Prairie View Methodist church. He was also a member of he Eagles and a social member of the V.F.W.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Max of Kirksville and Larry at home; his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Max McGowan; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy McEnany of Cedar Rapids, Ia., two aunts, Mrs. Bernice Griffiths of Center, Mo., and Mrs. Emma Kessel of McLough, Kan., and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services were held at the Prairie View Methodist church, Sunday afternoon, June 10, with Elder Herbert C. Shaw, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Mrs. Barnett.
