Daniel Gaston to Be Buried Here

Daniel A. Gaston, 67, former local resident, died Friday at 9 a.m. in a Chicago hospital. He had been ill since March 31.

The deceased who was born October 16, 1884, at Bonaparte, had lived in Chicago for 20 years. He was a Santa Fe machinist and had recently purchased a home at 1222 Avenue G where he expected to move after retirement on June 1. He was married to Myrtle Guess, and he belonged to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church.

Survivors include his widow and five nephews, Leon Robinson, Stanley, Donald, and Byrle Shepherd, local, and Lloyd Shepherd, Portland, Ore. A brother, Hazen and two sisters, Mrs. Harry Robinson, and Mrs. Harry Shepherd preceded him in death.

The funeral will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in Clements Chapel with the Rev. Gideon Wick officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.
