GASTON - Of consumption, Gage county, Nebraska, April 15th, 1881, at the residence of her parents, David and Anna Beasher, Mrs. Elizabeth Gaston.

Deceased was born in Appanoose county, Iowa, April 8th, 1855. Married to Mr. John Gaston, of Van Buren county, Iowa, Nov. 7th, 1878, where she resided until December, 1880, when they removed to Gage county, Nebraska, thinking it would perhaps improve her health. She was a remarkable sufferer for the past year, but was patient through it all and passed off with a bright prospect of a better home beyond the river. She leaves her husband and one little boy, 6 months old, to mourn her loss.

-Mrs. Lizzie Gaston, wife of John Gaston, late of Vernon Prairie, died Saturday April 16th, at her home in Beatrice, Nebraska, of consumption. Mrs. Gaston had been in poor health for some time, and last fall her husband disposed of his personal effects and took her to Nebraska, in the hope that the change of climate might prove beneficial. She was a woman highly respected and the sad news will be heard with deep regret by her former acquaintances. Her husband and little motherless child, have our heartfelt sympathy.
