ROLAND T. McDONALD

Roland T. McDonald was born in Van Buren county, Iowa, on June 14, 1873, and passed away July 19, 1955, at the Van Buren county hospital in Keosauqua, aged 82 years 1 month and 5 days.

Mr. McDonald was married to Anna May Gaston in September of 1926. One son was born to this union. His wife preceded him in death in September, 1947.

He lived most of his life in Van Buren county, and on the family farm, north of Cantril. He has been in failing health for the past few years.

Surviving are one son, Merle W. McDonald of Cantril and one granddaughter. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Marsh.

Funeral services were held at the Cantril Methodist church, Jul 21st at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Herbert C. Shaw officiating, assisted by Richard Bentzinger. Keith Gaston sang, accompanied by Mrs. Gaston. Burial was in Center Chapel cemetery.
