Samuel Russell, Jr.
Samuel Russell, second son of Samuel and Martha Russell, was born in Van Buren Co., at Bonaparte, Iowa, October the ninth 1862. Departed this life October 27th, 1911, being forty nine years and eighteen days old. All his life was spent in Bonaparte vicinity where he was well loved and respected by many friends. When a young man he united with the Harrisburg Baptist church.
He leaves to mourn his loss an aged father Samuel Russell Sr. living at he old home near Bonaparte, three brothers and four sisters as follows: Adam, and Cain? Russell, of Bonaparte, George W. Russell, of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Martha? Fletcher, and Mrs. Ella Mitchell of Bonaparte, Iowa, Mrs. Mary Gillaspie, and Mrs. Maggie Higdon, of Farmington, Iowa. His mother, two sisters and one brother preceeded him to the beyond.
The funeral was held from the house of his brother Adam Sunday Oct. 29th at 10:30 a. m. and was in charge of Rev. J. H. Taylor of Farmington.
