Wilburn W. Wilson.
Wilburn W. Wilson was born in White County, Illinois, November 19, 1822, and died at his home near Bonaparte, Iowa, December 28, 1911, aged eighty-nine years, one month, and eleven days, his death being due to a gradual decline or general breaking up of his system.
He came to Iowa in 1836 and was here married to Miss Mary Loomis. They soon afterward located on the farm near Bonaparte which has since been their home; the home where their nine sons were born and where the widow is now desolate.
Of the nine sons there are now but four living, as follows: -- Henry C?. of Longmont, Colo.; Oscar of Kansas City, Kansas; E.J. of Bonaparte, Ia.; and L.E. of Story, Oregon. Those deceased are Albert N., Edson, Oliver, Jesse, and Warren.
Mr. Wilson has always been a farmer, and as above stated has spent most of his life on the same farm, being industrious, honest, and a kind neighbor and friend.
Funeral services were held at the late home Sunday.
