MRS. MELVIN MORRIS

Laura Belle Devor, daughter of Elmer and Susan Carbaugh Devor, was born at Jacksonville, Penn., on Oct. 19, 1890, and departed this life on May 27, 1953, at the age of 62 years, 7 months and 8 days.

She was a member of a family of five children. On Jan. 17, 1923, she was united in marriage to Melvin E. Morris. To this union were born three sons, and one daughter, namely Donald, Darrell, Avis and Leslie.

Her parents and one sister and a grandson preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, her four children, five grandchildren, two brothers and a sister.

At an early age she became a member of the Baptist church at Kirkwood, Ill.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Burton C. Bastuscheck at the Bentonsport Methodist church on Friday afternoon, May 29, at 2 o'clock. Burial was at the Bonaparte cemetery.
