Hattie E. Eich was born in Bonaparte, March 5, 1868 and died May 16, 1952. She was the daughter of Jacob and Agnes R. Eich, and lived in and near Bonaparte until August 9, 1897 when she married James W. Young, and lived in San Diego, Calif. for many years. Mr. Young died on April 14, 1950. In November, 1950 at Mrs. Young's request, her niece, Mrs. Agnes Lindsay went to California and brought her to Iowa to her home.

Surviving are a sister, Catherine Eich, who lives in Bonaparte, and a brother, George Eich, who lives in Evanston, Ill., two stepdaughters who live in California, and a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers, Milton, Philip, Thomas and Charles; and two sisters, Annie and Alice.

Funeral services were held at the Brown funeral home in Milton, Sunday, May 18th, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Harold Harryman of the Milton Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in the Sunnyslope cemetery in Milton.
