Troy Lee “Tiger” Huffman, 53, of Douds passed away July 5 at Hospice in Ottumwa.

Troy was born March 9, 1963, in Keosauqua, IA, the son of James Dean and Judith Ann (Watkins) Huffman.

Survivors include his partner of 23 years, Margaret Stribling of Douds, daughters, Abbie (Stan) Shaw of Selma, Margie (Aaron) Stone of Eldon, and seven grandchildren: Derek, Lanie, Kali, Lori, Ambree, Ashton and Ella; mother-in-law, Patricia Vandello of Ottumwa, sisters, Trina (Jim) Simmons of Libertyville, Tracey (Charles) Weldon of Knoxville, brother, Tony (Shelly) Huffman of Stockport, and also several neices and nephews. Troy had a lot of good friends and relatives.

Troy worked his younger years with his dad for Housing and Urban Development and at MIU as groundskeeper. He also worked for Don Knotts Construction for several years. Troy enjoyed growing up along the river in Keosauqua. He loved to hunt and fish. He had several good friends along the way; special friends: Monica (Greg) Malott, Molly (Dennis) Callas, Joe Tray, Jason Day, and the Barker family, Quintin Barker and Brett Barker (deceased). Troy was kind, honest and a hard worker. He held his grandkids very close to his heart. He loved to make his homemade meatloaf for his family, which was Grandma Pat's favorite. He enjoyed watching Nascar, drinking Budweiser and listening to music. He also loved his little dog, Angel. Troy will be greatly missed.

He was preceeded in . death by his parents and his little sister, Tonya Louise “Weegie” Huffman. Memorial services will be held in September. The body has been cremated.
