Mrs. Geraldine (Gerry) Yenter passed away Monday morning, April 15,1985 at 12:04 a.m. in Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. She was born May 14,1921 in Van Buren county, IA, a daughter of Ralph and Edith Barker Dodds. She was a graduate of Bonaparte High School. She was married to Charles Yenter, Jr., on Dec. 24, 1951 in Keosauqua. She was a member of the LaBelle Christian Church, the Christian Women's Fellowship and member of the LaBelle A.T.Chapter of P.E.O. in LaBelle, MO. Surviving are her husband Charles at home, her mother Edith Dodds of Fairfield, two brothers John and Keith Dodds both of rural Fairfield, several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her father and a nephew. Funeral services were held Thursday, April 18, 1985 at 10:00 a.m. in Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle with the Rev. Leland Beck officiating. Burial will be in the Vale Cemetery Northeast of Bonaparte. Memorials may be given to the Vale Cemetery Association.
