MRS. ALICE BELL LIVED IN MILTON 67 YEARS

Mrs. Alice Bell, 88, one of Milton's oldest residents, died about 11:15 a.m. Friday at her home after several years of failing health.

She was born near Bloomington, Ill., and came to Iowa in 1853, settling with her parents at Roscoe in Davis county. She moved to Milton in 1872 and had resided 67 years in the home where she died.

She was married to Elias Bell, who preceded her in death. Surviving are three daughters, Edith Bell, at home, Mrs. J.B. Tuttle of Memphis, and Mrs. Pat Martin of Des Moines, one son, Clifford of Milton, and two step sons, Jesse Bell of Milton and Charles Bell of Newport, Wash., 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held at the Bell home at two o'clock Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Harvey E. Butler, pastor of the Milton Methodist church. Interment in Sunnyside cemetery.
