TOTTEN, TROUTMAN, BIGGS, CHIPMAN, DAVIS

GEORGE W. TOTTEN

George W. Totten died on Decoration Day, May 30, 1942, at his home in Vallejo, Calif., following an extended illness. He was a native of the state of Virginia.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth J. Totten; Five sons, Floyd, Perry and Albert of Vallego, Walter Totten of Oxnard, Calif., and Edward Totten of Idaho; and four daughters, Mrs. Georgia Davis and Mrs. Irma Chipman of Vallejo, and Mrs. Annabelle Biggs of Ft. Madison and Mrs. Mary Troutman of Bonaparte, Iowa.

Funeral services were held on the following Tuesday morning at 11:00 o’clock at the Chisholm and Dickey Funeral Home in Vallejo, Rev. Lester Eisel officiating.

The Totten family were former residents of Mt. Sterling in Van Buren county. Prior to their residence here they lived in Stronhurst, Ill., and after leaving here they lived in western Iowa and in Nebraska before locating in California.

Mrs. James Troutman of Bonaparte went to California to attend the funeral of her father, and remained for a week’s visit with relatives.
