Kathie Stanton, 62, of rural Stockport, died May 12, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City. She was born April 30, 1954, to Roger and Janet Umphrey Haganman and married Edwin Stanton on December 31, 1985, in Memphis, MO. He died November 17, 2014.

Kathie grew up and lived all of her life in rural Stockport and graduated from Van Buren High School in 1972. She enjoyed horses from the age of two and they were always big in her life. She loved spending time with her family, especially her new granddaughter. Kathie spent a lot of time just cruising around the farm on her side-by-side with her beloved dog, Zoie.

Surviving are her parents, Roger and Janet Haganman of Stockport, two sons, Heath Teeter of Bonaparte and Asa Stanton (Andrea) of Warner Robins, GA, and a granddaughter, Shanley Stanton.

Funeral services were held on May 17, 2016, at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua. Cremation followed the service with private burial of cremains at a later date.
