Juanita M. Alexander, 105, of Keosauqua, died at 1:50 PM. Friday, May 6, 2016, at Keosauqua Health Care Center where she had resided since November, 2015. Prior to entering the health center she had lived at Village Terrace Assisted Living, Keosauqua.

Juanita was born March 28, 1911, in Fulton County IL, to Wallace and Ruby Livesay Sebree and married George Wiley Alexander August 30, 1933, at Onieda, IL. They farmed for a time in Illinois and most of their active life they farmed in Van Buren County. Mr. Alexander died March 23, 1989. She had been a member of Center Chapel United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women and had attended Keosauqua United Methodist Church,

Surviving are a son, David Alexander (Marilyn) of Keosauqua, two granddaughters, Pamela Alexander (Eddie Wider) of Raleigh, NC, and Tracy Baggett (Richard) of Greenwood, SC, five great-grandchildren, four great-greatgrandchildren and a special friend, Guelda Cronk of Keosauqua. A brother, Clifton Sebree, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held May 11, 2016, at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, with Pastor Dan Smith, Care Initiatives Hospice Chaplain officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril.
