Robert McCall

Following a lingering sickness Robert McCall died Wednesday March 15, 1916, at his home in Winchester, where he and his wife had resided for many years. His wife, who was a Miss Burrows and lived, when a girl, with her parents, about a mile west of Utica, along with their one child Mrs. Harry Hill of Winchester, survives. Mr. McCall's age was 75 years, 11 months and 25 days. He was a quiet, peaceable citizen, held in high respect by his acquaintances. He was a soldier in the Union army during the Civil War. The funeral was held Friday, Rev. Stine of Stockport in charge. Burial was in the Winchester cemetery. We should add to this that Mr. McCall served during the war as a member of the Co. H Fifth Iowa Infantry.
