BERTRAUM FRANK NASON

Bertraum Frank Nason, son of Elmer and Lily Nason was born July 8, 1894 in Van Buren county, and departed this life April 12, 1948 at his home in Leando.

On August 15, 1916 he was united in marriage to Idella Shaffer who preceded him in death May 22, 1945. To this union two children were born, Leslie Nason and Mrs. Vera Cowell, both of Leando.

On May 22, 1946, he was united in marriage to Mae Shaffer. Surviving him are his wife, daughter and five grandchildren, his mother, Mrs. Joe Schmitz of Eldon, one brother, Mack Nason of Eldon, four sisters, Mrs. Velma Yarnell of Keosauqua, Mrs. Bessie McChesney of Libertyville, Mrs. Fern Dooley of Birmingham and Mrs. Mabel Allen of Richmond, Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Blanche Gilbert.

He united with the Methodist church at an early age. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias Starlight Lodge No. 350.

He was well known in this community and spent most of his life in this vicinity. He was always ready to do an act of kindness for his neighbors and friends all whom he loved. One of his many interests in life were his grandchildren who gave him much pleasure. He leaves with his passing many relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
