Glen "Dale" Kerr, 76, of Fairfield, died today, Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at Van Buren Good Samaritan in Keosauqua.

Glen 'Dale' Kerr

Glen "Dale" Kerr, 76, of Fairfield, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at Van Buren Good Samaritan in Keosauqua.

A funeral is at 3 p.m. Sunday at Behner Funeral Home and Crematory in Fairfield, with the Rev. Ben Parker officiating. A private burial will be at a later date.

Visitation for family and friends is 2-3 p.m., Sunday, the hour prior to the funeral.

Memorials may be made to Hospice or Good Samaritan Van Buren.

Mr. Kerr was born March 10, 1937 in Keosauqua, the son of Glen and Pearl Hootman Kerr. He married Dora Lillian Ritz April 21, 1957.

He worked for Iowa Electric Company for 33 years as a gas serviceman.

In his spare time he enjoyed playing his steel guitar.

Survivors include his wife, Dora Lillian Kerr; two daughters, Lori Lynn Kerr Luke and spouse Rod of Fairfield, and Linda Raye Kerr Crossley and spouse Mitch of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Kenneth Kerr; and one sister, Martha Esther Kerr.
