DEATH OF ROBERT MAXWELL
(From our Kilbourne Correspondent)

It was with sorrow our people heard of the demise of Robert Maxwell, when the telegram reached here last Wednesday morning stating that he had passed way Tuesday evening Dec. 27, at his home at St. Cloud, Florida. He left this place a year ago last August, his mind filled with wonderful plans for establishing a home in the southland. He had been in declining health for sometime gradually growing weaker until the end. He spent most of his life in this locality and was always known as a good, honest, industrious man. A public spirited citizen, devoted to his home and family. We deeply sympathize with the sisters who reside in Iowa who are mourning the loss of their only brother, also other relatives in this vicinity. Especially his wife and children in the south so far away from their kindred. His daughter, Viola who is matron of the County Home at Muscatine departed for the south immediately, her brother Verne attending to her work during her absence. We understand the burial will be at St. Cloud.

No sorrow there in yonder clime,
Beyond the troubled waves of time;
No dreary nights nor weeping eyes,
No aching hearts, nor broken ties.
