DIED: - At her father's home in Vernon, March 21, 1886, Mrs. Rose Doughty Sargeant, of consumption, aged 25 years.

We must all died and blessed 'twould be for each could we die in the perfect trust and happiness that our dear friend Rose did. Until last August she ever seemed so well, and her cheery, patient life was an index to a pure and lofty spirit. Hemorrhage of the lungs followed by consumption resulted in her early death. Deceased was the oldest daughter of B.F. Doughty, and the wife of Marion Sargeant to whom she was married six years. She suffered intensely during the last three months, but after speaking words of comfort to her loving, sorrowing husband and two little children, to the dear parents brother and sisters last Sunday night, she calmly awaited the summons to "come up higher" that came at twelve o'clock. Her death has cast a gloom over the whole community, that one so pure and young should be taken from our midst.

She has done her bidding here.
Angels dear!
Bear her perfect soul above,
Seraph of the skies - sweet love!
Good she was, and fair in youth;
And her mind was seen to soar,
And her heart was wed to truth;
Take her, then, forever more-
Forever - evermore.
