Death of Mrs. Aaron Ratcliffe.

The death of Mrs. Aaron Ratcliffe, one of the old settlers of Van Buren county, occurred at the home of her son Harley Ratcliffe in Ottumwa, on Sunday, the 12th. The funeral service was held at the Mt. Moriah church on Monday at 1:30 p.m., interment in the cemetery near by. Mrs. Ratcliffe was 85 years old and had been in failing health for some time. She leaves her husband, 87 years old, one of the few surviving members of the Civil war, Eighth Iowa Cavalry; also three sons and three daughters, besides a large number of other relatives. An obituary will appear next week.
