Archie B. McIntosh, sr., (sic) 70, former Van Buren county resident, died of a heart attack Sunday, May 15, at his home in Kirkwood, Ill. He was stricken while making preparations for a trip to Farmington to visit his son, Therman.
He was born Dec. 22, 1889, in Van Buren county, the son of William and Dora Smith McIntosh. He was married to Effie Winters, who died in 1931. He later married Anna Poling, who survives.
Besides his wife and son, he leaves to mourn five other children, four stepchildren; a brother, W.W. McIntosh of Keosauqua; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Regur of Keosauqua and Mrs. Ida Boyd of Memphis, Mo. There are 43 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 18, at 1 p.m. in Kirksville, Ill., with burial rites at 4 p.m. at Center Chapel cemetery, five miles southwest of Keosauqua.
