DOUDS - Willa R. Plowman, 82, formerly of Douds died at 8:45 p.m. Feb. 11, 1992 at Ottumwa Manor Nursing Home in Ottumwa.

She was born April 27, 1909, near Douds to Lewis P. and Laura Woolley Plowman.

She graduated from Douds High School, earned a bachelors degree from Iowa State University and her masters from Colorado State College.. She taught home economics and was a guidance counselor in several Iowa high schools. She retired to Keosauqua and later moved to Ottumwa Manor. She was a member of Twin City Chapter 258 Order of Eastern Star in Douds.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Delber and Wilmer Plowman; and two sisters, Verna and Alma Hissem.

The service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, the Rev. Michael Druhl officiating. Burial will be in Leando Cemetery.

Visitation is open at the funeral home.
