Mrs. Hannah Bertha DeHart Miller, daughter of George and Margaret DeHart, was born in Van Buren county, Iowa, June 8th, 1870, and passed to her reward March 15, 1920, aged 49 years, 8 months and 7 days. She was untied in marriage to H.C. Miller of Mt. Zion, Nov. 3, 1892, and has been a faithful, patient and devoted wife and companion thru all these years. Mrs. Miller was converted in her girlhood and united with the Methodist Episcopal church. After the discontinuance of that church in Mt. Zion she united with the Mt. Zion Presbyterian church. Thru all her years of ill health and suffering she was so cheerful and patient as to be an inspiration and comfort to her family. Her heart was always kind and her hands full of good deeds of loving kindness. How beautifully she exemplified her Master and illustrated the Christian religion. A good wife, mother and neighbor; a Christian whose influence for good will live on to eternity. Some years ago when her life was despaired of, she was calm and happy in an abiding faith and rejoiced in an assurance that all was well. In her last illness she gave many expressions of her assurance and when told that the end was near she greeted the prospect with a smile. Mrs. Miller leaves to mourn their loss, her husband, Mr. H.C. Miller and family; Mrs. Hazel Miller Arnold, Stockport, Iowa; Mrs. Millie Miller Blair of Mt. Zion, Zion. Ia., (sic) and Miss Cecile Miller of Mt. Zion; Donald Keith Miller of Mt. Zion, and one grandson Verl Miller Arnold. She leaves one brother, H.E. DeHart of Bentonsport, Ia., and one sister Mrs. Will Gaston of Mt. Sterling, Io., (sic) with many, many friends and neigebors (sic). Only two weeks ago she helped to care for her father in his last illness. (sic) For many years they had born their afflictions in a beautiful companionship and were separated by only about two weeks.
