MRS. JAMES OVERMAN.

Keosauqua. - Mrs. James Overman, 72 years old, died at her home here Tuesday at 6 p.m. She was a life resident here. She was born, Lydia Strickling, December 25, 1862, at Keosauqua, and was the fifth child in a family of eight. She was married September 29, 1880.

She was a member of the P.E.O. and the Ruthians and a stewardess of the Methodist Episcopal church. She is survived by her husband, one son, Roy S. of Keosauqua; one daughter, Miss Bessie Overman at home; one sister, Mrs. Lena Stewart at Arlington, Texas, who arrived here Tuesday, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Overman home in charge of the Rev. M.E. Hayes, and burial will be in the Purdom cemetery.
