Mrs. Woods Dies At98

SELMA - Mrs. Martha E. Woods, 98, died Tuesday at 6:05 p.m., at the Ottumwa Hospital. She was a long-time resident of Selma and had resided in the Jefferson Square Manor in Ottumwa since February. She entered the hospital Friday with a broken hip.

Funeral services will be held at the Pedrick Funeral HOme in Douds on Saturday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Gerald Caughron officiating. Interment will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Bloomfield.

She was born June 3, 1875, in Davis County, the daughter of Moses and Margaret Jane Glasgow Davis. On Dec. 25, 1902, she was married to Morgan L. Woods, who died in 1951.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, two brothers and five sisters.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Glenn woods of Palmer, Alaska, four grandsons, a great-granddaughter and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Henkle of Selma and Mrs. Rhoda Harward of Ottumwa, and several nieces and nephews.
