OSKALOOSA. - Funeral services were held here at 1 p.m. today for Mrs. Effie McBeth Potter, 79, widow of the Rev. J.W. Potter, D.D., well-known Methodist.

Mrs. Potter died at the Mahaska hospital Friday. She is survived by a son, Russell, of New York; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Adams of Oskaloosa; a brother, Robert McBeth of Keosauqua, and five grandchildren.

The service was in charge of Dr. C.M. Edmondson of the Central Methodist church, of which the late Dr. Potter was once pastor, assisted by Dr. William Longnecker. Burial was in Keosauqua.
